But I think Frisco Bowl is owned by ESPN. Maybe that's the deal

Cant blame any players if they have a chance of getting paid in the NFL.
Coaches are leaving their teams behind for the almighty dollar.
Players that could get drafted should skip some of these stupid, pointless and worthless bowls.

Money from all bowl games gets split up so doesn't really matter, but yes Independence is definitely a higher bowl than Frisco and UTSA didn't get rewarded at all, but at least will play in Texas. Who cares about the teams leaving though!
