Senter will probably say we put up a good first quarter so he deserves a 10yr extension and double pay.
Dropping to FCS will not make it any easier, and destroy the athletic program as a whole
14 point swing. Instead of scoring a TD to go down by 14, we turn the ball over and in a matter of seconds are down by 28. Only UTEP can pull this off.
So NMSU did a study about dropping down to FCS and they found it would cost $1 million+ more per year. Imagine only getting paid $400k for and FBS team instead of $1 million+ for a game against a P5. Idaho did it and they still suck and get less money than what they did at FBS.
I hope the coaching staff can make the proper adjustments at halftime...

Coach Dimel can't win in the FCS either. Nothing is going to matter until we get a coach that knows how to build a program.
Dropping to FCS is not the answer. If fans don’t get excited with FIU and Rice, can you imagine playing Tarleton State and Abilene Christian in the Sun Bowl? You’ll draw 3,500 tops. That would really suck.

New Guy Here with first half observations/opinions
- UTEP FB once again is an embarrassment on national TV
- Dimel is Dim... he and staff have to go,,,terrible game calling. Team looks lost before each play...confused and running out of time before each snap.
- Special Teams suck and Penalties are the norm
- Rest your DI caliber players...all 4 of them and let the JC players get some game time...we owe them for their service.
- Announcers are too nice to UTEP...they must be biting their lips
- UTEP is the Bishop Sycamore of CFB...shouldn't be playing big time schools...especially taking up good air time
- UTEP will not pass their MWC audition tonight.
Ok...cleared my first half frustration....

Only a team like UTEP would get a penalty no ones heard of. I don’t want to say the player’s dumb, but come on. You can’t try to make a play with no helmet.

Hate to say this, but with what happened with the big 12 and this horrible product we've put on the field for several years, I think the football program might be done.
Bury this fvcking thing next to Carrie. Stephen King would be proud had he created this horror of a football program. Never again should it rear it's horrific self anywhere.
