People wanting Senter out. Who would you want to replace him??

I'd vote for Mike Price.

Moses Harry Horwitz would be my first choice for this vaudevillian act of an athletics program.

No. The next AD'S most important job is to fix the football program. Mocia hasn't fixed NMSU's program. He stepped in and kept their hoops program on a high level, however it was good before he got there.

The next AD'S top ten priorities are all football related.

Moccia is supposed to fix 50 + years of shit football in 6 years? He didn’t even hire Martin. The next AD at UTEP isn’t going to “fix” 50 + years of shit football either.

NMSU and UTEP football will always be shit programs. They’re just battling for who is less shitty.

As I've mentioned several times in the past, UTEP has never dedicated the resources necessary to win in football. The next AD will make football a priority. We can be successfull and with proper leadership will be.

Mike Price booked it out early last year I believe? I am not expecting him to ever come back.

Unlike most I don't cheer against UTEP personnel. I want them to learn from their mistakes and make things better. Dimel is on a warm seat. I ask again, if Dimel is let go after next year is it worth losing Hardison? Hardison' situation is like Jordan Palmer years ago, he needed the right coach to make him bring out his best. Dimel didn't see that video obviously when hiring a couple months ago.

Terry, oh what to say about Coach Terry?! Screwuis Louis, Terry! Two solid years of great talent and two years of underperformance. Absolutely no excuse UTEP could not have achieved a NIT bid with this talent. Playing David in slaying a Goliath one game and looking like Saint Ann's Girls JV against lesser conference foes in another is hair pulling.

In the end, it all falls on Senter.

we need a young guy with hunger, good leadership, more in line with a young technocratic ceo type than a good ole boy used car salesman type. it's too bad that UTEP let some of those in that mold go over the years and they are now in those positons at other universities, like Mack Rhodes. I would take someone that is in an assistant position at a large University that has had experience with raising the level of that program, rather than taking the ad from some smaller school that really hasn't ever had success

Dude, you’re hilarious. No coach is worth keeping for Gavin Hardison, especially Dimel. Do you even believe some of the shit you write?

Lisa Campos removed her name from consideration.

Only because she wasn’t getting the job and had UTSA lined up. Nowadays, if you’re not getting the job you were publicly going for, you always remove your name from consideration. You’re a fool if you think she “removed” herself from the job. She wasn’t going to get it. Luckily for her, she ended up at UTSA.

Whoever the next AD is, they need to be fundraising machines. Preferably, someone that has ties to the oil money in Texas. A high level executive from ConocoPhillips, Phillips 66, ExxonMobil or Valero. Those people know where the money is and how to BS their way into getting it.

Paul Foster the billionaire is not only an El Pasoan he is also heavily invested in oil and gas. Not that he would be the AD at UTEP but he certainly has all the contacts and money that would be good for UTEP. Maybe Dr Wilson should give him a UTEP title and all the input he wants in naming a new AD.

Well said.
Priority #1 is paying the football coach more than the men’s basketball coach.

A) Have you looked at Hardison's numbers from last year as compared to Locksley's? The "shit I write" is based on facts and the success of UTEP and players, not hate for a school, program or community. You're a a loser who bitches about things but doesn't make them better unlike most on here who are boosters, ticket holders, alumni, etc.
Please
1a) Show some facts.
1b) Support athletics since you claim you care so much?
1c) Expand that little mind of yours. We all know Dimel and CRT are not the right fit? Pitino helped Iona, great! UTEP is not going to hire a Pitino or Briles troublesome coach, not in today's era. Most one here list assistants from all over who show potential to rebuild UTEP? And you? Nada.

B) Once again, your existence is based on the failure of two programs within 275 miles who have struggled for many, many years? And your point is? NMSU UTEP rivalry has a corporate sponsor because they see.....wait for it....potential. It's down now; both have underperforming coaches. But they see potential for the schools, the history and community. You are part of the legendary "Crapper's On". Crap on UTEP, ok crap on NMSU, too, as you now claim (whatever). Crap, crap, crap.

When both teams go to a bowl (as they have in the past), ticket sales go up considerably and people like you are in mom and dads bathroom watching porn.

Hardison (2020)
7 games
108/199 completions/attempts 54.27%
5/5 tds/ints
1419 yards

Locksley (2019)
11 games
103/181 completions/attempts 57.91%
6/5 tds/ints
1329 yards

Heisman Hardison blew away Locksley!!! Yeah, let’s keep Dimel around for a guy with lower completion percentage than Kai Locksley!!! Great idea!!!!

Hardison had no business being a starting QB at this level last year. Hopefully, this season we'll see a vast improvement in his ability to read coverages and know where the ball should be going. I dont think his accuracy is going to get much better, but if he is able to find the right guy that should be worth a minimum of 3% points improvement.

Right, but here is Methuselah acting like he had awesome stats and is the next coming of Tom Brady.

Jenny Bramer from San Diego State.

Been there almost 20 years, worked her way up,l to high level position had a hand in media/exposure deals for MWC and local media exposure, also was involved in hiring process and SDSU has hired well both in football and basketball IMO, **** a fundraiser give me someone who helped hire solid coaches in recent times. Winning is a unique fundraiser UTEP has never had before. Did some research and she was the best/affordable name, also Lynn Hickey current AD at Eastern Washington would be a decent hire.

You don't think it's going to be hard to win without the horses?

Right now after complete disasters in football and basketball we have an AD who continues to bury his head in the sand when confronted with the reality of his failures. He can only ignore the questions and say it's not his job to second guess decisions and results of his coaches, so I guess after finding an adequate AD who makes some smart choices; I'd say he needs to be someone who is able to stand up and admit his mistakes. Telling people like me to " back off" is not a solution; it's part of the problem!!!!!
I don't have a list of candidates handy, but there must be some hungry, aggressive minds out there waiting to be discovered

Well, let's let her actually start coaching before deciding if it's a solid hire or not. UTSA has one of the worst women's college basketball programs in the country and Karen Aston was let go by ut-austin a year ago
Really? Have you seen her resume? She was let go because at Texas sweet 16 and elite 8 runs aren't good enough.
