SMU is number #23. When will they start winning?

Same thing about Utep. So far Utep has the number 1recruiting class for CUSA , last year and for now this year. When do you guys think Utep should start seeing that success on the field? Will Walden be able to keep recruiting high quality players with a 0-4 record?

I figured this would be a good ongoing thread. The football has been fun. The Patriots and Seahawks game was great of course.

My early Super Bowl pick is Chiefs v. Packers.

I've noticed some of the ESPN channels showing women's volleyball matches in off hours. It's usually Power 5 conference games. I've noticed also that Conference USA has one or two teams in the top 25 ranking. Maybe I'm just wishing on one hand and farting on the other, that Conference USA could get in on some revenue stream by showing our conference games. UTEP has its' best team in maybe forever and is ranked third in the conference after Western Kentucky and Rice. We might as well try to maximize our impact on things when we have something positive to show for it. I know numerous bloggers are down on CUSA, but still, when we've got something positive happening, play it up. Any thoughts?

just curious to gage your thoughts what El Paso can realistically land in the future. the El Paso Chihuahuahus are now entering it's 5th season and has been a tremendous succes. Top Golf just recently opened as well. Mountians Star Sports also just announced a new pro soccer team in hopes of luring MLS down the road. Of course we know what's going with the quality of Life bonds and the Arena fiasco. Unfortunately we also had no chance in landing Amazon's second headquarters.

What kind of coach can Utep afford if they get Into the Pac 12? Football and Basketball.

Also what about players?? Will Utep be able to shop at Rodeo Drive? 🤓🤓🤓

The only one who can fix this is Heather Wilson. Right now her athletic department is run by the worst AD in D1. Everyday Senter is employed the situation is only going to get worse. This is all on Wilson now. She has an AD who isn't a leader, can't fundraiser, thinks small and makes terrible hires. He's incompetent. She has to pull the plug and get somebody competent to start fixing this mess. The heat needs to be turned up on Wilson to make a move.

Much like MWC developed out of the old WAC, the new Mountain Pacific Conference will be created. Utep added making a 16 team league that looks a little something like this...... (This is obviously a dream scenario for Utep and it's fans and probably less than 1% likely), but how excited would this get Miner Fans!!!!???
