College Basketball news 2019- '20



The University of Alabama-Birmingham has approved the first phase of a new basketball practice facility. The $8.5 million project, a renovation of Wallace Gymnasium, will serve both the men’s and women’s basketball programs. Plans call for two full-length courts, coaches’ suites, locker rooms and player lounges for each program. — UABSports.com
 
Maybe we should move to the wac. It looks like we’re getting left behind in the cusa facilities race.

Yeah!! People in poorer cities LOVE paying more money than people in richer cities. Especially when the entertainment features WORSE teams.

Assuming you had no ties to any school and just loved basketball, what would you rather do? Pay $6 to see WVU and Texas in Austin or pay $14 to see Rice and UTEP in El Paso? Anyone with a brain would rather pay $6 to see Big 12 teams and not more than double to see 2 awful CUSA teams.

GCS did the big market name coach and had so so success but couldn't get past NMSU. Why? Because NMSU hires the best coach for their program not the biggest name. Pitino and Floyd need to go hide in a pub and go flirt with some cougars and leave college basketball alone.
 
Chicago State just wanted to make headlines because they are meaningless games for them because they aren't going to qualify for the WAC tournament.
