Here is a crazy stat, since the start of last season, we have had MORE scholarship basketball players leave UTEP than we have had scholarship football players leave:

- We have had 7 scholarship basketball players leave since the start of last season(Roman Silva, Tim Cameron, Chris Barnes, Terry Winn, Deon Barrett, Kelvin Jones, and Roderick Williams).

- We have only had 5 scholarship football players leave(Aaron Jones, Kolbi McGary, Chance Bishop, Foster Dixon, Chris Misaalefua).

That is absolutely crazy, because there are only 13 scholarship basketball players on a roster versus 85 scholarship football players.

Don't forget about Adrian Moore. Pretty sure he was on scholarship.

You forgot our other big man... Joey St. Pierre. That was when we had four... count em... four bigs. Now we have two!

Sheesh, adding Moore and St. Pierre almost exactly doubles the amount of basketball players who have left compared to football players.

At some point doesn't this become sorta like the justification that Louisville used for firing Rick Pitino(obviously on a much different scale). Even if Floyd is not directly responsible for Jones leaving, he is responsible for everything that happens within his program since he is the CEO. And if his program has a 50% turnover rate year after year, then at some point the CEO is held responsible even if every single incident under him is not directly his fault.

This is what I don't understand about Floyd. He has no problems over recruiting and pushing kids out the door to make room for another player coming in. But when a player he doesn't want to leave decides to leave, he cries like a baby and rips the guys dad by comparing him to a high school parent. People like to blame this turnover stuff and say it's bad luck, we are cursed etc... but it is just Karma biting him in the ass.

How do you explain the other players comments expressing complete surprise? If there were problems wouldn't the teammates have been aware? If Floyd's explanation is wrong how about getting a comment from the Joneses?

To do that, you'd have to keep up with them.

Bada bing!

Nobody thought too much about this at the time, but remember when the entire team hiked up to Mt. Cristo Rey and Kelvin Jones was the only player missing. Maybe he had class, maybe it was nothing, or maybe...

I honestly can’t keep up with the departures anymore but shouldn’t McSwiggan also be on that list? And what about Broderick Jones didn’t he also leave last season?
