That’s a nice goal. The closest we’ve come recently is 5 bowls out of 15 years. In the late 40s and early 50s we made five bowls in nine years. But all those were Sun Bowl appearances.

Why? Because we are UTEP. Have you seen our football history? We are not going to suddenly become Alabama or Texas or LSU and win 8 - 10 games every year and compete for national championships. The BEST we can hope for is 4-5 wins on average with the occasional 8 wins and a bowl game.

That makes sense. You’re not wrong. 4-5 wins every few years is fine. There’s no reason they can’t make a bowl game every 3-4 years. Nobody here is asking for Bama and LSU results. Nor 8-10 wins every year. Winning 3 or 4 games this year would have been progress for Dismel.

Winning 3-5 games a year and never winning like Price after his first 2 years isn’t acceptable either. If a school with no fans like UAB can win, no reason we can’t.
