Pretty cool! I don't think there has ever been a player that played at an El Paso high school that has played in the NBA.

Wow, I didn't realize Kenny Thomas played at Austin High School.

He claimed Albuquerque as his hometown when he got his deal to play there his senior year before attending UNM. I remember when they were ranked something like #12 and came down here and got whipped by Brandon Wolfram and UTEP by 18 points.

Cool story. KT played in 4 NCAA Tournaments and won a game each appearance. Wolfram played in zero. Great Miner victory!!!!!

Yeah sucks! He went on to have a long NBA career and make millions of dollars. How many Haskins players from those years played in the NBA? Less than zero? I bet everyday he sits at home and says “Golly gesh, I should have gone to UTEP and practiced against scrubs everyday and not make the NCAA Tournament or have winning seasons”
