Very good. We need to remember this when the attendance nazi speaks out next season.
I wonder where we stand in football?
Yep those Gags ...have lower attendance but make the NCAA Tourney every year. But we average 2,000 more fans game so we are superior.

It's funny that Las Cruces's population is about 700,000 less than El Paso and UTEP only averages a little more than 3,000 than NMSU.
UH has NFL, NBA, MLB teams to compete with.

Exactly. Some people just don't get it.
I am sure the majority of Houston fans don't live in Houston but the surrounding cities. For a weekday 7 pm game you have to leave the house at like 545 to be able to get through the horrible Houston traffic and make tip off. Then you have to deal with it after the game. Then like I said, the campus pretty much in a bad section of Houston. Then having to compete with MLB, NFL, NBA. This why they are at the 2600 mark.So are these your opinions?
-UTEP should have better numbers than NMSUx because we are approximately 700K bigger.
-UH does not have to have better numbers than UTEP because of pro sports?
The Houston metroplex is over 6 million people. Are you two really saying the Houston Rockets are the reason UH averages 2600 fans a game?
Yep, some people just don't get it.

I forgot to add that Albuquerque is pretty much the same size as El Paso and they had a bad year but they nearly doubled us in attendance.

I have to leave earlier than that from the east side to make it by tip off for a Miner game. UH averaging 2600 has nothing to do with MLB or the NBA. If population is as important as Bob implied then UH should sell out every home game.
Exactly. It's not just about population,
Wonder where one east on the eats side?
Bob, you are not as bad as everyone says. You were able to see my point. Kudos.
Jokes aside, Bob, you laughed because Las Cruces has 700,000 less people than El Paso but only averaged around 3,000 less fans per game. You went there. I brought up Houston and all of a sudden we start naming excuses why the same principal doesn't apply. Traffic! Houston Rocket games in July affect college basketball attendance in February! Etc. At 6.1 million, according to the way you laughed about UTEP/NMSUx, you would have to assume UH should average more than 2600 fans per game. But hey, let's change the rules as we go along. Whatever it takes to put down UTEP.
Go NMSUx!
Chihuas I didn't know that all games are played at the same time, that is amazing. (That would be an option)
If you have over six million people I bet that you would have around 100K people in all
games playing at the same time, so where are the remaining 5.9 million people.
Chihuas you must be stupid Carlos or he is your twin brother.
GO Miners...

That argument is so old it has a beard. If your logic held any water, then USC and UCLA should be kicking everyones ass.

The athletic department is a mess and kept on life support by Sunland Park Casino. Got word on the grape vine that things are getting grim and their fund raising people are visiting NMSU alums in New York to beg for some funds.
I live on the eats side and I can leave my house at 6:30 and still make it for tip off.
You must be one of those cars on the freeway that drives 45 MPH or less if it takes you that long.
If I left my house at 6:30 I would not even be on 1-10 till around 6:50.
Another classic MusicBob assumption. Jumping to conclusions is such a closed minded thing to do.
My friend lives in far east El Paso and it takes him 30 minutes to get The Don. Not sure why it takes you an hour and a half.
Such a hateful statement. You people are so moody. Definitely not good debaters.
I have to give you a ton of credit MistaBinks, you hung in there with Chihuahua, posting back and forth and were able to get the last word without him ending it with another of his questions. I bow to you
It's funny that you know some much about NMSU.
"And again, since some people don't understand this, not everybody lives in the city. Getting around El Paso is vastly different than getting around in Houston."
Just replace Houston with Los Angeles.
Just keeping it real...
