Hoping your new athletic director makes the right choice for head football coach.
What do you guys think of a head coach with this resume who would be highly interested in the job?
- Current SEC coach
- Has been an OC in the Pac 10, ACC, Big East, Conference USA, and Sun Belt. Was also a position coach in the Mountain West.
-Was the OC of an ACC team that went as high as #2 in the rankings. Was the OC of a Big East team that went as high as #2 in the rankings.
-Was the college QB coach for a future 14 year NFL starter. Was the QB coach for the all-time career yardage leader in an FBS conference (different player than the long-time NFL starter). Was the QB coach for the third placed all-time career yardage leader in an FBS conference (yet another player than the previous two)
-Was a position coach in the NFL
-Was an interim FBS head coach for two teams. Each time, his record was better than the record of the coach for whom he replaced.
-Has been an assistant head coach/OC for numerous years at the FBS level at a Texas school
-Has a handful of current FBS coaches at Texas schools who would join his staff and be able to flip numerous commits from other FBS programs in this year's class
-He speaks fluent Spanish and is of Hispanic descent
-Is known as a player's coach, which helps in recruiting, yet has the discipline, experience, organizational skills, and coaching network to lead a program
