Bonagura: Boston College vs. USC
Schlabach: Duke vs. Utah

Duke Utah would be cool but for Elko maybe being gone to aggy.

Does USC still have scentless excrement like the last time they played in the Sun Bowl? If so, we still don't want them. Utah may travel better to El Paso than the Trojans. Duke has been in the Sun Bowl game before. I'd rather see that matchup.

Hoping for North Carolina be USC. Drake Maye vs Caleb Williams. That would make the Sun Bowl a Marquee game. However, I doubt either would play.

I like Utah coming here vs anybody.

Link? I couldn't find any news articles or anything on Twitter.
From ESPN +:

Candidate to watch and latest buzz: Duke coach Mike Elko. The New Jersey native and Penn alum doesn't necessarily present as a typical Texas A&M coach, but he knows the place and all that comes with it after serving as Fisher's defensive coordinator there from 2018 to 2021. Elko is off to a strong start in his first head-coaching opportunity, winning ACC coach of the year in his debut season last fall, and helping Duke to a 4-0 start before injuries began to pile up this season. His other coaching stops, including Duke, have required him to grow as an evaluator and developer of players, which Texas A&M needs after the talent-grabbing approach under Fisher ultimately failed. Texas A&M could swing for a flashier name, but candidates such as Elko, UTSA's Jeff Traylor and TCU's Sonny Dykes bring more of what the program needs right now. Could Texas A&M look to the West Coast, perhaps at a guy like Oregon State's Jonathan Smith?

IF Drake Maye faced Caleb Williams, the Sun Bowl would be one of the most talked about Bowl games outside the BCS.

Its either gonna be Oregon State or USC from the Pac-12. Oregon State was wanted by the Holiday Bowl but they may pick USC because Oregon State's HC and 6 assistants left. USC will have multiple kids sit out.

The ACC, we used to pick from a pool with other bowls but now there are 2 Pools from the ACC and we draw from the 2nd Pool. Miami, North Carolina, Duke, Boston College, Syracuse are in the 2nd Pool.

Bowls are announced on December 3rd and the Transfer Portal Opens December 4th. So if Duke and Oregon State For Example are being chosen, they won't have coaches and half their teams may be in the Portal.

Riley Leonard is in the Portal, so any interest I had in watching Dook in a bowl game is out the window.

Bernie Olivas said it’s down to Oregon St and USC vs Miami, Duke, Va Tech, or BC
