Spriggs is already filling in for Pierre as lead recruiter. Depending on who Spriggs can bring in, it may make sense to promote him. I also think Golding will try to add another coach with strong JC ties, who can hopefully bring in some tag along players. Many of the top JC guys are already committed. The team will be built through JCs and the portal, which I guess is pretty obvious.

With the ncaa deadline of May 1st for transferring with immediate eligibility, we only have a little over 3 more weeks to follow all this. That probably doesn't apply to grad transfers though.
I don't know if I'm just being optimistic, but this sounds kinda promising...I think.
Let's give our support to KK and get him to come back and bring in the Newton Brothers!!!! That back court will be Amazing!!!! Add a quality Big, another shooter and we're in business!!! All unrealistic and overly hopeful expectations I'm aware however SMH 😒

I'm not sure about all the drooling of the Newton brothers. I have seen no indication they want to come home. All I hear/read about them is on here and sportstalk. I feel the one is a star and can go damn near anywhere he wants. Sure, it would be cool to play with your brother, but at what cost?

Last I heard during the season was that he was gone along with Boum and TV. So far the source has been accurate.
Well then there is no reason to think Sessoms will want to come either. This is going to be a 2-3 year attempt at a rebuild, and then if there is any success everybody will just leave anyway.

You can’t blame the kids transferring. I would guess she wants to accomplish something during her college career. Whether that’s playing in the NCAAs or winning a conference championship. Obviously not going to happen here.

It's been a brutal off season for both MBB and WBB. Complete rebuilds for both squads. Who would have though it is Dimel who has done the better job of keeping his team together?

The women's program started out by winning like 10 of their first 12 and then had some close wins and losses and then completely fell apart losing almost all their games down the stretch. It was a disaster.

I agree and that's why it's funny when I see people post about UTEP winning multiple game in the NCAA Tournament. UTEP can't even win multiple games in The Basketball Classic!

Yeah. I was at the spring game tonight and saw the new 915 era commercial that includes Cager and and Katia. Then a few mins later on social media, she makes the transfer portal announcement. IMO that does not make her look good. It’s a low blow to the University and the fans.
