"Swan Lake" coming soon for Putin? Intel reports stating he is actually very sick and being propped up for video. He was propped up for CSTO (NATO Counter part but does not compare to NATO)? Swan Lake is a piece of Russia artistic masterpiece that is played when Dear Ivan has died or death is looming.

I’ll believe it when I see it. We’ve heard how many times that Kim Jong-un was close to death and that guys still kicking, and it seemed like Fidel Castro was dying for almost 10 years. You never know with these dictators.

I'm not sure what we need the most. We can start by using it as incentives and tax breaks to the power and oil companies so they could do what they have to do. I would like for gasoline to be more affordable and for the electric grid to withstand summer and winter.

Ok. I dont necessarily agree on the tax breaks, but those are good ideas.

I think the question that runs deeper though is do we help other countries/people from other countries or not? And if yes then when do we as Americans come 1st? Americans have to know what to expect. The ups and downs and the abuse of help are difficult to manage.

If Ukraine falls, which looks like it will not, the U.S. and Europe would have been in a world of hurt, mainly Europe. Ukraine is strategically important for gas and grains. This Americans first policy is bunk. Inflation is high because of Covid, supply of shelves due to literally not enough truck drivers, China economy is actually hurting, war in Ukraine and trade imbalances with Mexico and Southeast Asia (Vietnam. Can you believe it? We have a trade imbalance with Vietnam!).

That's the kind of crap comment that drives me absolutely crazy.
Are you seriously going to sit there and tell us you think we should be more than willing to send billions to ukraine to support their fight when we are trillions in debt already AND we are hurting ourselves? Where is the support from all the other countries? Are they matching us dollar for dollar? Is it ok to let illegals flood our country getting assistance from our government while we have starving families already? I will put it this way....if you only had $100 left in your account and you were totally out of food at home, would you give me that $100 because I need some bullets for my gun? (note I do NOT own gun)

We keep giving other countries money, yet raise our taxes to cover it. The taxing entities are being absolutely ruthless now. Be a day late and they fine you PLUS interest. Can't pay for another month? They freeze your accounts. Try to work out a deal. Never happens. But hey, let's send another 40 billion to ukraine. (And why can't we get a detailed list of where the money is going?)

Look, I am all for helping people, but it MUST start at home in America. Hence America first.

BTW 2step, Covid DID cause some inflation. It did NOT cause this ridiculous inflation. When our economy was shut down, people were laid off. Companies did stop/slow production of products. We've been back open for what? a year now? Production should be up to normal levels by now. People didn't need to go back to work because they are getting assistance. I know this first hand from Tortuga days. I couldn't get/keep employees. Once hired, they would find a way to leave to get back on unemployment.

You know why we lost truck drivers? They can't afford their rigs anymore. (See California's idiotic policies) Now diesel is ridiculous. Why is that? the policies put in place that last 2 years.

Meh.....hardcore democrats will just try to justify. I'm not smart enough to know all the ins and outs of things. I use common sense and first hand experience to base my opinions.

ALL big companies are in it for the profits. Shareholders get restless when their profits go down. Raise minimum wage and prices will co up to cover the difference. Tax the big companies/rich people, prices go up.

Anywho.....have a great day. I just spent $90 to fill up my truck. (Every 9 days) Yippie!

I like how the truck guys complain about their gas money. Maybe get a more fuel efficient vehicle? If you drive a lot and your truck isn’t being used for “work purposes”, then you made a dumb decision to buy one.

Even when gas prices were better, you paid more for gas. So drive less or get a different vehicle.

In states with winter weather, some people own larger vehicles because they're better for driving in the snow. That wouldn't be much of a concern in El Paso, but I consider that a valid reason.

Maybe in rural areas. You mean to tell me you can’t drive in bad weather in Detroit and Chicago with a Toyota Corolla?

In the big cities, they're usually pretty good about plowing the roads, but it still takes time to get to all the roads. And in the vicinity of the Great Lakes, you can get some unexpected lake effect conditions. It's more common on the eastern side of the lakes (like Buffalo) but it can still happen in Chicago and Detroit. If I found myself driving in the midst of a snowstorm, I know which vehicle I would prefer to drive.

If you live in El Paso, that doesn’t apply to you.

But you want everyone else to downsize from their trucks. Just a note I already did, but boy do I miss my truck!

No, I don’t. It’s his choice to keep his truck. He’s the one bitching about $90 gas tanks. So he can continue to pay that or get something else. I didn’t say he or anyone else should do it. It would be smart to, but if you want to pay $300 a month on gas, that’s on you.

It shouldn't matter what one drives. Gas prices are too high for everyone. That's the point. Everyone is paying more than double to fill their tanks than they were two years ago. It hurts no matter your ride of choice.

Yeah, but it’s worse if you drive inefficient vehicles.

You will always be a putz, huh? I have a truck because of necessity. I MUST haul things across town for work n stuff.
I will complain as long as democrats allow this to happen, and yes they have. Tell the drivers of produce accross the country to downsize to a corola idiot.

In the last 24 hours, Republicans have voted *against* funding to fix the baby formula shortage, *against* investigating white supremacist domestic terrorism, and *against* making it illegal for gas companies to price gouge American consumers. America first though? GTFOH.

1. They voted for (almost unanimously) to supply baby formula and make it available. They voted against $28 million to the FDA. Why just give a Federal agency $28 million dollars? That doesn't solve anything.

2. Why would any republican sign a bill that says White People are Terrorist and need Neo Nazi Groups need to be investigated but groups like Antifa and BLM are not investigated? They're giving a government agency $105 million to investigate right wing extremist. Why not investigate ALL extremist? This bill is not about stopping Terrorism, its about censoring views from the right.

3. Price gouging is Already illegal. But what the Democrats are doing is trying to convince people that All the executive orders, war with Russia that we are funding, shuttering pipelines, canceling leases, releasing Strategic Supply and selling it to Europe, and all of the harmful policies that this Administration has done has had no effect in gas. Its price gouging.

I don’t know your life. I don’t know that you haul things.

So not all conservatives are not neo nazis or white nationalists but if you are a neo nazi or white nationalist you're probably a republican. Got it. I don't see people fighting for rights or better policing, the same as racist ****s who commit mass shootings.

Yes, think of the poor oil conglomerates, they are hurting, they are nearly doubling record profits, and have told Congress that they won't drill on any current leases. As to why they weren't drilling more, oil executives blamed Wall Street. Nearly 60% cited "investor pressure to maintain capital discipline" as the primary reason oil companies weren't drilling more despite skyrocketing prices, according to the Dallas Fed survey. A.K.A. GREED.

The FDA protects our food and drug supply. Pretty self-explanatory. Some dense people think that certain government agencies aren't needed, because of ignorance and complacency. Imagine investing more in our food and drug safety? What a waste of money? You people are nuts.

I think, in general, if you follow politics, you need to know what bills are for the greater good, and which are grandstanding.

Many times, a party will introduce a bill that they know the other side won't support just so they can twist words. For example, baby formula. They passed a bill like 400 to 9 to fix the baby formula crisis. But then introduce a bill that won't fix the crisis for posturing.

Ted Cruz does this all the time, especially with the border. He introduces a bill he knows Democrats will oppose so he can say 'see, they want open borders.'

I dont think its about being crazy or nuts or whatever. Its about being smart enough to see what is political BS.

During the introduction of the Terrorist Bill, they specifically mention Tucker Carlson and Fox News.

Imagine if Republicans introduce a Bill that prevents Networks from Covering BLM riots? It would be ridiculous and would never pass. But then people would say, "Democrats voted to allow people to destroy property."

All 3 of these Bills were doomed to fail and the Democrats wrote them that way. They actually DO NOT want any of these bills to pass. They needed them to fail for their ad campaigns in November.

What you stated is all horse hockey.

Protests and terrorism (racist POS white nationalists) committing mass murders are entirely polar opposites. If you can't see that there's no point. If tacitly stoking bigots into mass murders is not a bad thing then I don't know what is.
