Is Wac the only mid major conference with a NCAA title in Basketball and Football?

The WCC. San Francisco has won a basketball and football national championship. Although the WCC isn't really a mid major league.

The WCC doesn't sponsor football. Apparently San Francisco had an undefeated season and turned down an Orange Bowl invite, but they weren't named national champions by any of the major polls.

Utah, of course, won the NCAA Tournament in 1944, before the WAC even existed. But they also played in the NIT that same season and lost to Kentucky in the quarterfinal. That's one of the four seasons that the Helms Athletic Foundation named someone other than the NCAA champion as the "true" national champion.

Oh, and after the 1944 NCAA and NIT tourneys, the champion of each tournament played each other and Utah (NCAA) defeated St. John's (NIT) in a charity game.

But Helms awarded the championship to undefeated Army.

Well if you want to take UCF’s National Champions claim legitimately then it would be the AAC. In the common era that’s as close as a G5 conference will get. UConn won the National title in 2014.

Did they get a trophy like BYU?

To this day that Utah team is the only team to start four freshman and win the NCAA tournament
