Gilyard has nothing to do with this. Likekely is 6-5 Gilyard is 5-10 Gilyard can run the team and still have Likekely along with Osborne in backcourt. Terry will be running 3 guards I'm pretty sure.
I’m not sure how they know each other but whatever helps us land Issac.
Makes you wonder how some of these people are in real life trying to pick up women. If they come across desperate as hell trying to recruit basketball players.
I didn't notice it earlier but the pic behind the statement is of the DHC. Looking good I would say..

Also, I just watched nice video on Victor Iwuakor 2019 6'7" SF from Sulfer Springs, TX. He a very athletic finisher/shot blocker with high major offers.

Wasnt omega harris rated higher than isaac. Utep has had highley recruited players.

He'd have a great shot, because he's Terrys guy and has good size. Kobe won't start with Evan I don't think. He's a true PG and would back up Evan.
At this point we don't know for sure who is going to start.
It will depend on the style of play.
What I can see is that Coach Terry is not afraid to go against the
big 5 for recruits.

But those reports are from the so-called Texas Tech "experts" (AKA homers). It may be true, but...he still has his Oklahoma State trip scheduled.
That was before he even went that Utep. I saw that like a month a go. Its completely unreliable and not updated.
Yes he was. Top five in Oklahoma. Had offers from OU and Wichita State I believe? CRT is loading up the back court as per published reports. Will see in a few months.

I think thats what happened with Isaac Hamilton. UCLA offered more candy.
Man, 3 star guys like Likekele are not getting any “candy”.
And schools like UTEP don’t have any candy to offer.

Truth of the matter is that Tech (from what I have read and researched) is looking at 3 graduate transfers and a 4-star SG to fill one immediate void. They might need another if Zhiare Smith doesn't come back from the NBA draft. In addition, Tech has already signed a highly rated SG and PG each. I think they like Isaac, but not as much as Terry. Just my 2 cents.
I think OK state may have more to offer and more spots available, but they also got mid-year transfer from Indiana SG named 'Cujo' Jones who was a top 100 recruit out of high school.
I'm excited about UTEP basketball and I hope Isaac jumps on the train. If he makes a different choice then I will wish him well and move on. Signing a big man or two this weekend is our priority right now.

I thinks schools like UTEP do have candy to offer but at end of the day its not all about Candy. Players want to play on TV and play in a winning program and they also want playing time. I remember once when I was in El Paso I saw a player back in the day like in early 2000s. He was still playing and he was driving in a nice car. I think when you start recruiting against the bigger schools. Candy is used to recruit player. Don't matter if players is a 3 star or 5.
Another very important point for Issac to consider is that Beard might not be the coach after next season. Terry is just getting started here so it’s almost a guarantee he will be his coach for his entire collegiate career.
It could be that back in the day there was some Halloween treats given out. Now a days the money gap between a CUSA school and a Big 12 school is too much to get into a bidding war. For example the Big 12 schools took in about 35 million each from tv deals. The entire CUSA conference gets paid about 5 million. Given the state of our facilities and lack of big time donors I just don’t see where we can get candy from to compete against a P5 program.

At the :15 second mark of this video, they announce him as a “Senior”, which would seem to indicate that he would be a 2018 recruit. He also took a visit to UTEP, based on two different pictures that he has posted, and I thought only Seniors could take recruiting visits? If he isn’t an eligible 2018, then could he maybe be coming in as a Prop 48?
No problem and I am not certain that he is a 2018 either. Whether he is a 2018 or 2019 has been a question for a while now that no one seems to have a definite answer to. I was only throwing out a couple of more thoughts about it.
According to this tweet he reclassified to 2018 last year.

For those asking, Deon Stroud reclassified from 2019 to 2018 last may. So he is part of the 2018 recruiting class joining Nigel Hawkins and Efe Odigie #UTEP
