It appeared we were all a little apathetic after the Aggie loss this past weekend and didn’t make a thread for the two road games Utep one. Here is one that can be used for both games. Let’s keep winning until the rematch with the Aggies in LC to get that bad taste out of our mouth!

This team looks to be about a 14-4 and 24-7 team going into the Conference tourney. That should put us as a top 2 seed. A lot of basketball to be played, but that’s currently where I think we’ll be. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to win out, but we’re not Memphis back in the day in CUSA or even the team with RC and DC that only lost one conference game I don’t think at least. CUSA isn’t actually a terrible conference this year, I believe its currently the 8th rated conference ahead of the AAC and WCC, so it won’t be an easy road to 1st. Either way it’s still a one bid conference unfortunately.

I really hope Utep makes the NCAA this year or if not get a new coach so we can have some momentum going into MWC. Imagine talking about Nevada and UNLV coming on this week followed by the Lobos!!! Or even Wyoming Air Force! Can’t wait for the old days to be back in the Don! I know new Miner fans may not care, but I’m looking forward to it! The only one I’ll kinda miss is La Tech. I sorta wish they were coming with us.

I know nobody on here will care or give CUSA any credit, but 7 teams are in the top Net 150 and only one team FIU is below 200. Point being, no game is an easy out with the exception of maybe when FIU plays here and that’s a maybe. These games starting tonight will be tough and Utep can’t have a let down or think they’re way better than their opponents on any night in conference this year. Gotta stay hungry and have a chip on our shoulder form last year with there being only one goal in mind!

El Paso live for the Cowboys, other than the “ boys” it has to be seen as the cool thing to do.

Utep leadership has nobody to blame but themselves. Attendance and low fan support is Uteps fault . So El Paso fans do not suck.
