Completely agree. Jones played well on both ends of the court. Still don’t understand why he doesn’t get more minutes.
I guess the thinking is to have Hamilton match up against Nicholson. Nicholson absolutely abused Hamilton on both ends in just the few minutes he was in there. Just no comparison from athletic perspective.
Big ham was absolutely owned by their big guy while he was in there. He was just awful.

The only big hustling for a rebound seems to be Jones, imo. Kalu has been damn near useless this game. Hamilton…pfft.
Yep. That is ridiculous. If Jax St. had limited turnovers, the score would have been like the NMSU game at half. Bad part is that Pierre hasn't really gotten hot; hopefully that continues in the second half.
I've seen a few of their games, and Nicholson is a handful. He's the type of big Golding should be able to recruit to UTEP, but just hasn't. Nicholson wouldn't be able to hedge on defense, but neither can Hamilton. Difference is Nicholson can rebound and provide some rim protection.

Effort was weak to start that half. Defense is playing well. Shooting has been awful. Rebounding is awful every game with this team and it won't get better. Somehow utep finished the half with a lead.
Hopefully Camper is okay. Inconsistent offense not withstanding, he is a huge piece of our team

Jax St is a good team. They lost at Air Force earlier this year. Definitely a CBI caliber team. Miners still in the next 80 out after this loss.
Well I was worried about this one, but with Camper getting hurt it’s insult to injury, hope it’s not too bad. Baylor Hebb isn’t a suitable replacement. Anyways uncharacteristic mistakes by Barnes and I have no idea what happened to that Bynum shot. Disappointing game at home again and the Miners are doing their best to tell the home fans to stay home the rest of the year, geez 🙄
When we are getting absolutely slaughtered on the glass, why does Golding not go bigger with Kalu and Jones or Ham and Jones? Never an adjustment made. Same shit over and over and over.
Outscored 9-0 last two and a half minutes. Missed two big 3-point opportunities to keep the game close. It happens, but getting dominated at the rim is frustrating. Another zero adjustment game on defense.
