UTSA got beat by a DII and ODU getting throttled by Indiana State

AAC Commish: "Oh, that's why CUSA is a one bid league"

The AAC didn't offer membership to UTSA because of their basketball program. The AAC doesn't give a crap about their loss. UTSA prioritized improving football over basketball and reaped the benefits. Basketball will probably be their next priority since they will be hiring a new coach at the end of the season.

If the aac cared about basketball they would still be called the Big East.

ODU dropped all the way to 162 from 119 with that loss.

Let's see what happens to NMSU's 93 ranking.

Respectfully, 100% bull carp. Nice “Like” click bait for NoWins and UTSA lovers on here, but while football is the major cash cow of FBS athletics you need mens basketball to bring in supplemental, residual or whatever fiscal term you like. If your premise was true why do mid major AD’s go to their biggest boosters during home basketball games and ask “Hey Bob! Can we use your American Express Corporate?! (Numbers are down)”.

And yes, you and NoNuts will counter with “then what about La Tech? Competitive basketball program!”. AAC went after bigger markets for saturation.

UTSA has been to 3 NCAA tournaments since the last time La Tech went dancing.

Basketball has zero impact on expansion. The TV money is all about football. Throwing money into hoops will get you left behind.

Haha...any reason why AD's only go to their biggest boosters during home basketball games and not home football games as well????
Exactly....football is the cash cow and basketball is nothing more than just a hopeful supplemental income sport. It is always a positive when the BB program is generating revenue but BB doesn't impact expansion like Minerforlife stated.
UTSA's means BB program has pretty much been mediocre in CUSA, and on top of that, they play in a high school gym. It's pretty obvious that AAC didn't invite UTSA because of their BB program and didn't use it as a reason not to invite UTSA. So it pretty much proves the AAC cares more about football than basketball.
