There are some other threads on FAU here, but no predictions so far. Had we been a mediocre FT shooting team, instead of an extremely poor one, we would be 16-3 right now, 8-0 in conference, and this game would attract a little national attention. But we suck at FT shooting, which will be our downfall yet again.

Senter should be working with everything he has to fill the Don and give UTEP it’s best chance at beating a top 25 team. Wouldn’t be surprised if he tries to profit from this game and we see a weak attendance on Saturday.

I have FIU penciled in as a W, but they did beat Charlotte by 2 at home and took FAU to overtime in a loss at their house.
FIU can easily get down by double digits and have some lopsided losses. They're 2-5 in conference and 0-6 on the road where they've some bad beat downs.
I think we'll wear them down by the second half.

I've noticed this repeatedly on ESPN. Tonights Mavs- Hawks game for instance.
They show Dallas at -2.5, but they have Atlanta a 52.5 % favorite to win. I've seen the same thing on multiple Miners games. Is it the Vegas line vs ESPN's own contradictory pick?

GEM: Sun Bowl, UTEP (35). The Miners are perennially bad, but their home base is perennially picturesque. The place is literally carved into the side of a mountain, situated so snugly against some desert highland that cheapskates can watch games from atop it for free. The sky seems to always be cloudless and blue.

They learn to make free throws.

Hustle on D is good. Getting better at rebounding is good. But this team will not win consistently until they learn how to make a fvcking free throw.

First five games he scored 53 points(10ppg) and the last three it was 5, 2 and 7 or a bit over 4ppg. Rebounds were about the same throughout. What do you think? The numbers are definitely down. Hope it's nothing; but to me he's not been the same factor in the last three.

Utep is getting better, I'll admit. I watched the last two ball games and we should've won both. It wasn't a matter of talent or anything that can not be fixed. It was mistakes, like penalties, turnovers and missed opportunities. This team had it's chances to close out both games last week, but just isnti ready to close the deal! Oh and losing Kai before a big 4th and 1 didn't help either.
