6A Region I is a damn gauntlet, looks like EP's only shot for playoff glory is in 5A D2, sadly 6A's will be badly outmatched like always once they hit the area round.
District MVP last year as a junior, and a household name for txhsfb junkies, it's cool if he commits elsewhere, but it's great to see the new staff extending offers to Texas kids like this.
ATH Ray Walters is being shown as a commit on 247. Has anyone heard about this?

That brings UTEP’s class to 14 total recruits. I wonder who else will leave to make room for these kids.
I'd bet the EP lineman and some of these HS recruits will be prop 48's or grayshirt this coming year in my opinion, all the JUCO guys will use scholly's and I heard UTEP will be aggressive in the grad transfer market this summer so it will be interesting to see if anyone transfers after spring ball...
Also wonder how many of the 15 gray/blue shirts are eligible and actually staying.
What makes him a big time recruit? A big time recruit is a 4 star or 5 star player. I assume that's not the case?

I like what Dimel is doing, none of these freshman will see the field this year, but it all adds up to a deep ass roster come next spring where guys will have to earn their spots and they can have bodies to practice hard in the spring.
Dimel signed the biggest (size wise) El Paso high school football player. Andress Eagle. Nice pickup outta nowhere.
